- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)neighbourhood her name was Máire Padhraic spun it into yarn and rolled it in large balls for the weaver. The weaver that was in this locality was Owen Duffy. He came from the Parish of Kilmovee a very industrious man and a very fluent speaker of the Irish language.
He laboured all day on his farm and worked at his loom at night and wove this flax yarn into pieces of sheeting, towels and table linen. The weaver has also another charm. There is a part of his loom called the warp. The remaining threads on the warp were used for people with sprained limbs and there were certain days for going for this thread - Mondays and Thursdays. Even though Owen is dead there still remains some of this valuable thread which is to be found in his home.- Bailitheoir
