- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Of late the village of Ballure grew up. Long ago there were no inhabitants in this place. All the place was covered with a forest. Some people soon found this place and they cut some of the trees and lived in the middle of the forest.
Later on more people came to this district. They cut down the wood. This was a great loss as it was a lovely place especially in Spring when all the trees were covered with leaves. It was charming in the early morning to hear the glorious warbling of the birds from the forest re-echoed in the Glore river that separates Canbrack from Ballure(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
