A second time the dykes are dug and the loose soil is again scattered between and around the stalks. This is called re-moulding. To prevent the blight from burning the potato stalks the people spray the potatoes with a mixture of blue-stone, lime and water two or three times during the summer months. Nothing more is done with with them until they are dug in October. They are dug by the farmer and children pick them with buckets. The big ones are picked first and filled in bags and holes are made and the potatoes are put there until they are brought and stored in the garden. The same is done with the small ones.
