- There are three forges in the parish. Pat Clark James Mchugh and Micael Walsh are the smith's names.
Pat Clark and James McHugh are the sons of blacksmiths. Their fathers worked in the same forges.
Michael Walsh is the son of a carpenter. One of those forges is at the lower end of the town and the other two are in a small steet or lane. There is no stream near either of them.
The forges are small thatched houses with doors like stable doors. There is only one fireplace in each forge. This is in the centre of the floor.
The bellows is made of leather and is fixed in a corner beside the fire about four feet above the floor. There is a wooden pole fixed over the bellows so that when it is pulled it will make the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
