- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)That man had a son, and he was very innocent. He(the son) saw the lady and her friends in the fort, kicking foot-ball. They invited him to spend an hour with them. Son in he went. When the hour was over, they all clapped him on the back, and said that he was the best footballer they ever met.
The lady said "we must give him a prize" so they all agreed. The gift they gave him was good sense and the best foot-baller that ever lived. He went home a happy man.
After that, he was a vise man and a great footballer and he won many prizes.- Bailitheoir
