    In olden times there lived in the Parish of Crossmolina a party named Connors.

    (continued from previous page)
    a letter to herself and said in it that he was dead. As soon as she got the letter back again she told everybody that he was dead. After some time she got married to another man. After a year the war was over so the first man got a great deal of money and he came home to his wife. When he saw that she was married he turned to go away again bit when she saw that he had so much money she went away with him and left the second man after her.
