In the morning the stones that were taken away were left back in the same place in such a way that a person would think they weren't removed at all .
The stones were also covered with blood and it was thought that the blood would remain on them. There was also blood on the road from Caircín the name of the place from which the stones were brought to the bridge that was being built.
