- The wild birds which are found in the district are the thrush blackbird and several others also the swallows which come during hot weather and migrate as soon as the cold weather sets in.
The thrush and blackbird build their nests in bushes, the robin in walls, the pink pigeon and jackdaw build in the trees.
Some nests are built with moss, hair, and mud, others are build with moss and feathers and the pigeons and blackbirds are built with plain sticks; nearly all eggs are spotted only pigeons which are plain white.
The weather can be judged by several birds such as swallows; when they fly low it denotes rain.
