dazzled by a flood of light. At first he thought it was lightning but on peering more intently he saw a tall, beautiful woman with a closed basket in her hand. She gave him the basket and said “I have brought these to thee O Fionn for I have always heard that cousins should be cousinly.” Then she disappeared. Fionn closed the door, stirred up the fine so that they would be a blaze and examined the basket. He saw two blind pups one which had a small head, black body with a white spot on its chest and the others a spotted leopard colour. He christened the former Bran and the latter Leopard.
