In olden times wearables and necessary woolen and linen articles were made in the homes.When the wool was taken from the sheep it had to go through many processes such as carding, spinning and weaving before it could be manufactured into household articles.This work was considered laborious for the women and often the men had to give a helping hand. The weavers were kind of travelers who went from house to house where neaded [sic.].
