    Coal he generally uses, but when he comes short of coal, he uses some turf. The principal implements he uses when working are, a bellows, an anvil, a sledge, a hammer, a pincers, and a tongs. He has a trough of water also, for to cool the irons, when they are hot.
    His charge for making a gate is about 14/0; for shoeing a horse 4/6, and for a set of removes 2 shillings or 2/6.
    The forge is a stone building with a thatched roof. It is a large building being about 26 feet long and 15 wide. He has a forge down in Rakestreet also
