Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)is hooped with iron bands and at the bottom there is a wee hole and a cork in it when the buttermilk is drained from the churn.
In the summer the people used to churn three times and in the winter twice. When the would be churning if a stranger came in he would take a turn and when he would see a person churning he would say "Good luck to your work". It takes half an hour to do the churning.
When the churning is about done you can see the curdles of butter on the glass on the lid of the churn. The drain off the buttermilk from the butter by pulling out the cork in the churn and letting it flow into(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
