Two people whose names were Kathleen and Mary were coming home from the shop. Each one of them had a pack of meal with them. On the road they met a poor woman who had seven children with her. Kathleen gave the poor woman meal and Mary scolded her. Whenever they reached the house they weighed the meal and Kathleen had far the most meal.
Whenever the famine began there was a woman living in Laught and she had three barrels of meal. Each day there was a crowd in for some meal, and she always gave them some. Whenever the famine was over she had a lot of meal left.(continues on next page)- Collector
