   In this part of Ireland travelling folk are still to be met. Some of them go on foot and others on caravan's. Some of them have their caravan's beautifully painted and others have them very roughly and carelessly made. The tramps go on foot and they are very ragged people. they go from door to door asking for help. some tamps are very forward and think they should get what they ask. Some of them make a living by making tins, baskets, brushes, and selling them. Some of them go around on caravan's and buy rags, bottles, jam-pots, and horse's hair. They sell them again and paper is made from the rags. The jam-pots and bottles are made use of, and brushes are made from the horses'-hair. Tramps are only allowed to stay a night in the one place. If some of them stop near a farm they steal potatoes or corn. They stay there until the guards have to put them away.
