    come from the hills to the lowlands when a storm is approaching. If the swallow comes early, it is a sign that the Summer will be early.
    If the wild goose appears before October the Winter is expected to be earlier than usual.
    The curlew and peewit call louder than usual when rain is coming. The robin and blackbird become very tame during a storm or even before the storm arrives.
    The magpie and wild pigeon are natives of this district. They do a lot of damage by eating eggs and fruit and early cabbage.
