In old days the people used to put water in their mouth and stand with their back to the fire for a cure for the toothache.

Goose oil is used for a stuffing in the chest or bronchitis.
One time my brother and I had the whooping cough and we gave the donkey a piece of bread. when the donkey dropped the crumbs we had to eat them and go under the donkey three times. There is a well up in Greenane for curing sore eyes. - If men are the seventh son of a family after one another the have the power of healing people. My grand father was the seventh son and he could take out motes out of peoples eyes. He also cured other things.
