- Local RuinsThe old ruins that are in this parish are Inch Castle, Burt Castle, Grianan Castle, Glebe Church and Grange Church.Burt Castle was built in the fifteenth century by Neacton O´Donnell. it is semi-circular in shape with gun holes in thw walls which are four feet in thickness. In this castle there is no wood. Around the castle is a deep trench which is generally supposed was there to keep enemies out. A plank was put around it th let people in and it then was lifted again. A young chieftain named Cahir O' Doherty lived in it.Grianana Castle was also erected at this time. It is also a circular(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
