    These beastings are made by mixing together some water and milk and boiling same until it gets into lumps like butter.
    Our cows are tied round the neck with chains called the "borocks" which are tied to a "stake" in the wall.
    There is a drain, called the grape, running the full length of the byre immediately behind the cows for holing the manure. This manure is thrown out a window in the gavel directly above the grape to the manure-heap every day.
    We keep five cows one called "Stumpy" from its stumpy tail, another called "Specky" which has white and red spots on
