   The Wren builds her nest in the Hollow-tree in the stockyard. If she comes early in the year, it is said that the weather will be good.
   The blackbird remains all the winter round. She builds her nest of grass and mud in the bush behind the house. If the blackbird flies high, it will be a bright Spring.
   When Our Lord was dying on the Cross on Calvery the robin red breast was around the cross till our Lord died. When He was being taken down from the Cross the robin pulled the nails out of Our Savouir's hands and feet and the drops of Blood stained the Robins breast.
   When St Patrick was preaching the faith to the pagans of Irland he had to sleep in the woods at night
