as you know your neighbour is fast asleep take in the pig and hide it. When morning comes raise the hue and cry that the pig was stolen. But be sure to your story."
Lee agreed to this. When night came the butcher stole the pig himself and went to bed.
He awoke in the morning to hear someone pounding on the door. Drawing the bolt he beheld Lee flustered and excited, standing on the threshold.
"The pig is stolen" Lee stammered
"That is right," said the butcher "Stick to that story, my lad."
    "But I tell you -"
"I know, I know, keep to that."
    "But right enough - "
"Yes, I know you're doing rightly"
So poor Lee had to go home, his pig was gone and worst of all he knew his neighbours would suspect him of roguery.
