In olden times if any one had the mumps, they were led with the horse's branks on their head to drink at a running stream of water.
   The seventh son or daughter of any family can cure evil from they are seven years of age and if they cure any one before that age they loose the gift and can cure no more.

   In olden times the people had several cures for the toothache. Some of the cures were to kiss a frog. To kill a hurchin and take a tooth out of it and rub the tooth to the sore tooth. Some people used to go to Cnoc a loc and rub the water to the tooth
