(Skerries, Co. Dublin.)Many small boats and ships have been wrecked off the Skerries coast resulting with the loss of many lives. It is said that one hundred lives were lost off the north coast of Skerries when a ship named the "Belle Hill" was wrecked on a reef of rocks stretching out into the sea in the year, 1878. It is said that the captain was a young man and did not know the place, and he ran the ship in along the coast during a storm. When he tried to bring it back out to sea he was not able because the ship was caught in a reef of rocks. Another disaster(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
