- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)this old ruin and she was also noted for great speed.
They used to find her lying at the butt of an old hollow tree about a mile distance from the old ruins. So one day a priest went out with a very fast black grey-hound and this dog coursed her up to the ruins so in trying to make her usual escape into the old ruins the dog caught her by the hindquarters and tore her skin. The priest and his party wen to see why the dog would not leave the ruins. They discovered the old witch sitting in the corner crying.
This ended the career of the old witch hare.
