There was a very bad storm the 2nd of February 1902. There was a bad storm on the 22nd of October 1926. Certain kinds of birds are fluttering and flying wild when there is going to be wind, and the cat sits with his back to the fire. Plenty of trees are torn from the roots, the roofs are blown off houses. Many times stock are killed by trees falling on them. Boats are tossed about with the wind. Many lives were lost in 1839.
There was a heavy snow-fall on the 6th of February 1933.
