    In many districts boys and men go hunting the wren, on St. Stephen's Day. Sometimes they get a lot of money and they divide it equally among themselves. On the feast of Halloween boys and girls have great sport playing games such as tying an apple from the ceiling and trying to catch it in their mouths. They also put an apple into a tub of water and dive for it. Another game is playing with three saucers.
    Clay is on one saucer, water on another and a beads on the third. One of the party is blindfolded and if he puts his hand on the beads it is said that the boy would be a priest and if a girl left her hand on it she would be a nun. Whoever puts their hand on
