    guide them on their nightly travells. They also mark hidden crocks of gold. Some of them even have names and the oldest bush in these parishes is situated on Tooma hill in the parish of Aughavas and is called "Roady's Bush".     Here in this part of Leitrim the people always bless themselves and say the above prayer when first they see the new moon.
    If a robin flies on to a person it is a sign that the person will soon die.
