- When the sky is red in the eastern part of the world it is the sign of bad weather. The sun comes in very hot blinks and it is of a hazy colour in bad weather. Sometimes there is a circle around the moon and if that circle is far away from the moon we are going to have bad weather and if the circle is around the moon we are going to have good weather.
Whent he stars are glittering and falling of a bright night it is the sign of rain. The rainbow is a sign of very brittle weather and if there is a rainbow in the morning we will have that evening and night wet and if there is a rainbow at night we will have good weather. Whent he clouds are moving across the sky it is tha sign of very unsettled weather.
The south wind brings most rain. When the soot begins to fall and if salt begins to run it is the sign of coming rain and sometimes there appears stripes in the sky and some people say that it is the sign of coming storm. The rooks go hovering about in the air when the weather is going to break and the cat sits with her back to the fire and she scrapes wood with her claws and the dog is supposed to leave the mutton bone there and go to eat grass. The nearer the hills or mountains appear to us of a clear day the nearer the rain is also.
