- The wild birds which are commonly found in my district are - the crow, the magpie, the jackdaw the blackbird, the robin, the wren, the swallow, the Cuckoo, the Lark, the corncrake, the Crane, the Thrush, and the Goldfinch.
The swallow, and the Cuckoo, and the Corncrake go away to foreign Countries, and stay in them during the Winter, and they come back to Ireland for the Summer.
The crow builds her nest on the top of a high tree, and the magpie builds her nest on a high tree also, and she puts a roof on it with sticks. The jackdaw builds hernest in an old chimney, and it is built of sticks only.
