A man named Gallogly of Drumrane Ballinamore, called on me a few years ago wishing me to negotiate the sale of a copper urn which he found in a field of his.
As he expected a big price and as the description he gave of it led me to believe that it was simply a modern coffee urn cast out from the local big house I did not consider it had any archaeological value I did not go to see it.Stone Arrow Heads.
I found some of these stone arrow heads in my present school I did not think it served a useful purpose to keep specimens of these which inevitably get lost and so I presented them to Miss White County Librarian at Ballinamore to form the nucleus of a County Museum.
Very many of these flint or polished stone arrowheads have recently been discovered around a cromlech near Drumcony Carrick on Shannon.
