    hours. A number of pupils were always on the watch out for the soldiers.
    In this school they learned Irish, English, Arithmetic and writing. They used no pens or pencils at that time but instead of them they used slate pencils and chalk. The master taught at this school for five or six years. Every night he stayed at a house of one of the pupils.
