Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)pinchers, a saw, a ruler, and a cleevers. He does not make any implements but he repairs all of them. He also makes bands and horse shoes. The only time the smith is outdoors is when he is shoeing wheels and making bands. He works beside a river because he wants water to cool the bands after shoeing the wheels. The people say if you stole the iron from the forge you would get a cure for some disease but I never heard of a cure being in the Forge water. The person that told me never heard of any priveleges the smiths had. The people might send a smith money or a cake for Christmas.
- There are only two forges in this Parish. The smith that was in Tarmons left it. His name was John Dennehy and Bill Finucane the owner of the forge in Tarbert. Finucane's father was a smith before him but Dennehy only learned his trade. The Tarmon's forge is near a river but Finucane's is far away from the river. They are all like houses around in shape. The two that are in the town have stone(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
