    His wife is taking a flitch of bacon out of the pot, it is both fat and lean,
    You are asked to use it you can't refuse it, there is hospitality in Lisereen.

    It's no wonder then that our women and men, should shed bitter tears when they are going away,
    From a blooming land to a foreign land, where a scorching sun makes them soon decay
    I wish sincerely we got justice early from a native parliament in
