The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. The land is both hilly and boggy as it is just under Benbulbin mountain. There are woods on the mountain side belong to the Hazelwood Demense. The woods are about a mile long and a quarter of a mile deep. The river drains Lough Gill with Drumcliffe Bay. At different points it has differents names. Collinsford is near our house. There is a small iron bridge there called Cogginsford Bridge & Collinsford(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
