    The more norther portion of Benbulben resembles the fore part of a ship in an inverted position. There is a lake about a mile long on top of this mountain which contains seashells and fossil. It must have been under the sea one time as nobody would carry the shells 1700 feet up the mountain to pt them there.
    There is an old fable that Sligo town which was destroyed by fire will be destroyed
