Tanning of Leather
Leather was made from the skins of cows or sheep. These skins were left out on the rock under the sun to dry and harden. They they were hammered and made into leather.
Whip Making
Whips were made from leather. The leather was cut into long narrow strips. These were plaited together. They were then tied to a stick which served as a handle.
Burning of Lime
The lime was burned in a round hold in the ground built inside with stones.
