Ar an leathanach seo
- The Jackdaw The jackdaw usually builds her nest in a Church steeple or in the chimney of a house. She will eat anything and for this reason will seldom starve in hard weather.
The Wren This bird builds her nest in ivy or thick branches. The entrance to it is not like all other bird's nests but on the side. She is sometimes called the "King of the birds". The colours of her eggs is white with brown spots on them.
The Sparrow This bird has always been persecuted owing to its ravages on the corn harvest, but in the Spring this bird does a considerable amount of good.
The Robin This robin always builds her nest in a bush and she lays blue eggs and she feeds her little ones with worms and snails.
It is a bad sign of rain to see the little robin hopping on the doorstep looking for crumbs. It is said that when our Lord was nailed to the cross the little robin came along and the robin tried to free Our Lord and the blood that was on Our Lord's hands and(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
