    splendid and magnificent monuments one of which came all the way from Rome. It has two houses built of stone with a beautiful stone-engraved door and inside of those houses coffins are laid. It has also an underground vault with a large stone-covered opening, with stone steps leading to the vault where the coffins are laid. The inhabitants of this old ancient townland are a people, who can trace back their descendants for six generations. The oldest person at present in this townland is Mrs Jinks who is approaching eighty years. Michael Scanlon seventy five and Mrs White seventy four and Michael Savage seventy two. The oldest family in the townland is the Flynn's who can trace back their forefathers back five generations. One of their members Fr Michael Flynn was stationed in Collooney during the Cholera
