Just as they were approaching the gate the wife of the lodge man was standing by with her hands crossed wearing one of those plain check aprons - one of the olden times. The moment the car approached the gate the woman that occupied the lodge began to cry.
    "Why are you weeping" said Jack.
    "I will tell you why" replied the lodge woman with a pitiful face. "That girl in the car reminds me of a beautiful girl that passed away here some time ago. Her father and mother lives above in that Great House and they feel very lonely after her."
    "Would you know her" said Jack "if you see her again."
    "She is very much like her" was the woman's reply "and that is the reason I fell so lonesome for she was very fond of me."
