    The Church of Mary or the one time Cordal Chapel the ruins of which are still extant in Kilmurry graveyard was once surrounded by trees.
    Twiss[?] the landlord ordered his man to cut them down for firewood. By obeying the order he earned the wrath and the curse of a local cynic.
    The curse was "Go n-imtheóchaidh an loinnsig ar bharra na taoide, agus na feicfidh sé coidhche a críoch" (Críoc an leaghaidh)
