    Barberry: The powdered bark was used as a purgative.
    A mixture of the powdered bark and juice of the berries well diluted in water was taken as a cure for sore mouth and sore throat.
    Yarrow: The juice of the Yarrow was used for lung diseases & all kinds of bleeding.
    As an ointment it was a cure for sores & ulcers.
    St. Patrick's Plant: The leaves used raw were used as a cure for piles, or bleeding sores.
    These were got from Jhos Murphy Murphy Greenane Kanturk.
