The land is hilly and in good condition, but it is not boggy. There is no wood in it. It is watered well enough but there are no rivers, lakes or streams except a little stream that separates it from the townland of Corderryduff.
The townland stretches from the old Ballybay Road to the townland of Tullycara. It is bounded on one side by Clare-Oghill, and on the other side by Corderrybane, and there is a bye road which runs through it, and which leaves it easy for the people to get through.
Long ago the people used to spend their time weaving flax in this country. They used only to labour a field for themselves.
