Ar an leathanach seo
- There is only one forge in the parish of Drum. The owners name is Samuel Vogan. His father and grandfather were blacksmiths for many years. The forge is situated on the roadside in the village of Drum. The forge is made of wood and felt, and the door is a wooden one about six feet high and four feet wide. There is only one fireplace within the local forge.
The blacksmith's implements are pinchers, chisels, vice, auger hammer, rasp, file, punch, drill, anvil, hack - saw, boring - bit, sledge, bellows, and tongs. Mr. Vogan shoes horses, ponies, and asses. He also repairs all sorts of farm implements such as ploughs, grubbers, harrows and cultivators.
