  2. One night Francis Carroll was standing on the bruw (brow) of a river. He heard a hunt coming over the meadow. He stood to one side to let the hunt horses by him. Six hunt horses came along and six wee men with red clothes and red caps. When they saw the man they told him to go out of their way. When they came up to him they stopped their horses. They asked him what was he doing here. "I am going from my ceilidhe" he said " We will take you a speedy way. Get up on one of thee horses. He got up on one of the horses. the fairies drove on. They asked him where his house was. He told them where it was. They drove up to his door and let him off the horse. They bade him "Good-bye"
