- Long ago when the Jones's were very popular in this part of the country the people used to pass through their place to Mass. Now old Jones was a black Protestant but they had a rule that if a person passed through a field for a few years without being stopt he had a right of way of that path.
Jones knew this but he adv. for a wicked bull which he put in the field through which the people passed. This stopped them for a time. At that time bull-fighters were common. After a time one of these bull-fighters came to work with a farmer in Kilmacow. When he heard of the bull he told the farmer who was a devout catholic that he would remove the abstacle if he would let him off an hour early next Sat. evening. The farmer agreed.
