- The people in the olden times ate two or three meals a day. The meals were breakfast, dinner, and supper. The worked in the mornings before their breaktast.
The used to eat oaten meal porridge for their breakfasts and potatoes and salt for dinner. Buttermilk was drunk at dinner time. The table was placed against the wall after every meal.
Oaten bread and wholemeal bread, ling fish and salted herrings were eaten for dinner sometimes.
The people did not eat after twelve o'clock at night.
