- There is a man living near Innistioge. He is able to cure many diseases. He tells his cures to nobody only whom he cures. The diseases he can cure are Consumption, Lumbago and Deafness. There is a place named Lady's Well about four miles from here, and a great number of people go there to bathe their eyes on the fifteenth of August. Some of the cures of this district are:- The ashes of a pipe are a great cure for Ringworm. An onion and salt is a cure for Chilblains. The white of a Dandelion for warts.
