  1. The Battle of Carrick Shock was fought between the "Peelers" who were gathering the tithes & the people who rebelled against them saying "We'll pay no tithes in Sweet Rockhall." The people killed many "Peelers" who were buried in Kilmaganny (See "Old Graveyards" from J Forde).
