    horse in the country. One day Mac Namara was riding along the road by the lake when what should come up only the mare. When the foal saw the mother she jumped into the lake and took MacNamara along with her. Some say he was never seen again, but an old man over eighty claims to have seen him, himself (swimming) and his horse swimming through the lake forthy years ago. MacNamara is said to ride through the village of Kilkishen with the famous horse every Christmas night.
