Seldom disasters occur in Kilkenny, but in Winter in the cold harsh weather we often hear of accidents happening about the locality. Accidents occur when least expected or some may be prepared for them.
Last year the local papers were full of local accidents. There was a great storm in Kilkenny which did much harm. Slates were blew of houses, and the roofs of ancient houses were were also blown off. Fishermen went fishing expecting to get lots of fish but an(continues on next page)- Collector
