    Jack Roache Old grange, and James Kealy Graig were great thatchers. Perhaps the most famous thatcher in the school district was James Mahoney of Raheendenore who was nicknamed Malony the thatcher of his day. Poor circumstances obliged him to emigrate to America about ____ years ago.
    Cooper:- Tom Hayden of Graig-na-Mana made firkins, churns, tubs, feeding troughs etc. Churns are now almost all bought ready-made in the shops. The Fenlon family who make baskets also make tubs, and feeding troughts and repair same - putting, hoops, bottoms etc.
    A carpenter usually makes wheels and the smith binds them.
    Denis Sheehy of Coolsheely whose land adjoins Coppena school made several carts, and wheels for same. He also built stables, barns etc. and did all carpentry himself also. Though only a common farmer he can make almost all articles of household
